| Having previously been involved in the 2003 tender project to streamline all of Aviva’s (then Norwich Union) catering services in the UK; Stern Consultancy were commissioned in 2009 to take the services a step further by sourcing a partner with the aim of placing the services on a more commercial platform, thus allowing Aviva to concentrate on investing elsewhere in the business.
A new contract with Restaurant Associates commenced in February 2010 with an entirely new set of service offers at each of the 23 sites, designed to maximise customer satisfaction whilst still achieving Aviva’s commercial objectives.
