Over the past two decades Chris has managed catering projects in the UK and abroad for a wide range of clients including Cisco Systems, Microsoft, BNP Paribas, Siemens and Aviva. 

As head of a small, specialist team, he has involvement in every project adding a strategic dimension and a wealth of experience.

As with all of the Directors of Stern Consultancy, Chris’ background is as a caterer.  Having gained a degree in Hotel & Catering Administration, Chris developed a career in contract catering, initially with Sutcliffe Catering (now part of Compass) before continuing with High Table (now named Avenance). 

He has led the business into additional and international markets, developing strategic alliances in Facilities Management and Design & Planning to ensure the organisation can respond to changing client needs.

He is now a well-known, leading industry figure, regularly expressing opinion in the trade press, as a judge in the annual Cateys awards and lecturing on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
