Reuters have recently combined a number of offices into a single site at Canary Wharf, Docklands. It was critical to them that a state of the art catering facility should be incorporated into the design and that an appropriate catering operator should be selected to run it.

Stern Consultancy were appointed to manage a process in which potential catering bidders were selected based on their design expertise as well as their operational performance. They were required to propose a "turnkey" solution both to design and operate the new facilities. Reuters also considered the potential benefits of having the cost of building the facility funded by the appointed caterer.

The result was a stunning staff restaurant, offering a focused range of food to Reuters personnel within the subsidy requirements set by Reuters.
